We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Modelling Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in the simulation of our Next Generation communication systems. In this position, you’ll work closely with systems engineering, software engineering, operations, and the commercial side of the business. You’ll contribute directly to our ongoing projects and initiatives. What You’ll Do:
•    Perform modelling analyses to support the specification and design of Eutelsat Group’s Next-Gen payloads, platforms, and ground network.
•    Perform modelling analyses of end-to-end system level performance and present the results to a wider (sometimes non-technical) audience.
•    Draw conclusions from modelling analysis results on how subsystem and system level performance could be improved and provide technical feedback to the relevant stakeholders.
•    Work collaboratively with the rest of the Systems Architecture and Modelling team to continue the development of our in-house system performance simulators.
•    Adapt existing modelling tools to design new CONOPS for the optimisation of the current operational system.

 

What You’ll Need:
•    A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field Aerospace engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or Maths. Masters degree preferred.
•    A collaborative nature and strong ability to communicate across multiple stakeholder levels and work across organisational boundaries.
•    Experience working with LEO/MEO/GEO satellite communication systems and their CONOPS. 
•    A strong technical understanding of RF communications engineering.
•    A strong technical understanding of MATLAB, ready to deep-dive into our in-house tools.
•    Experience in software development techniques/other coding languages – JULIA, Python, SQL, GIT
•    Knowledge of current 3GPP standards.

•    At last 3 years' experience in a similar role.
