Who You Are: 

The Ground Segment Engineering team delivers next-generation infrastructures for satellite broadband networks. We design, integrate and validate software for platforms, infrastructures, applications and monitoring, all with the most advanced technologies, tools, engineering methodologies and the collaboration of internal and external partners.

As Ground Segment Engineer will be responsible for delivering continuous improvements to the company's infrastructure to meet service level objectives. Other duties will include: developing tools and applications that support availability, automating network and system deployments, monitoring and maintenance systems and supporting other areas of the business to perform their functions efficiently.

What You’ll Do:

• Participate in technical architecture discussions and propose design system infrastructure;
• Support on software deploy, operate, maintain and monitor devices and applications in distributed networks;
• Testing and Validation on new projects hardware and software infrastructure stack;
• Automation using Ansible playbooks and modules;
• Develop Python script for integration purpose;
• Standalone and Clustered environment servers provisioning ;
• Documentation, Training and knowledge transfer on operational team group;

What it Takes:

• A Bachelor or higher degree in STEM, prefer Computer Science;
• At least 5 years of experience in System Engineering Enterprise environment;
• Strong experience in Linux System Administration (RHEL or CentOS, and Ubuntu);
• Strong experience in Virtualization (VMWARE and KVM);
• Experience in datacenter application administration (DNS, DHCP, RADIUS, LDAP/AD);
• Experience on SSL/TLS Certificate management;
• Experience in infrastructure as a code paradigm (Ansible) ;
• Experience with scripting  (Bash, Python);
• Exprience of container and orchestration tools;
• Good knowledge of English language;
• Good networking skills;
• Ability to adapt to a changing and dynamic environment;
• Motivated, curious, flexible, articulate, and accountable;

What We’d Love:

• Experience on datacenter;
• Experience on balancer software (F5, haproxy, Nginx) ;
• Experience on backup solutions (Veeam Backup and Replication) ;
• Experience on queue or IOT software and protocols (rabbitMQ, Kafka, MQTT, AMPQ) ;
• Basic understanding in Database Systems (mysql, postgresql, influxDB, clickhouse);
• Basic experience with a high level programming language (Java, Rust, Go, C);
• Understanding of common application servers (Apache, Tomcat, Nginx, etc.);
• Understanding and implementation of RESTful, SOAP and SDK APIs
