Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Senior Network Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in the implementation of network architecture and services, integrations with systems, monitoring and automations to reduce time to market. In this position, you’ll work closely with Network Architect and remarkable people from different groups (technical and non-technical) from whom you will receive and retrieve needs and requirements that will help you in development, contributing directly to our ongoing projects and initiatives. Who You Are:
Responsible for supporting Network Architects in the design, and implementing the network infrastructures, the network services of the organization. This includes developing and maintaining the architecture, ensuring the network's stability, security, and performance. The ideal candidate will possess deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to work collaboratively across various departments.
What You’ll Do:
Network Design:
- Create detailed network diagrams and internal documentation.
- Plan and implement network infrastructure and network services.
Network Implementation
- Configure network devices, such as routers, switches, and firewalls.
- Configure virtual environments.
- Install and deploy network hardware and software.
- Support and resolve network issues.
Network Security
- Implement network security measures.
- Collaborate with security groups for audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Stay up to date on the latest security threats and mitigation techniques.
Network Automation
- Deploy automation script for provisioning and monitoring.
- Support OPS team to maintain automation flows and scripts
Collaboration
- Documentation and training for Operations teams to manage network architecture and network services.
- Presentations to other teams.
What You’ll Need:
- Understanding of networking protocols, such as OSPF, ISIS, BGP.
- Understanding of MPLS services.
- Experience with network devices, including routers ( Juniper, Cisco ), switches ( Juniper, Cisco, Arista ), and firewalls ( Juniper, Fortinet, Palo Alto ).
- Experience with virtualized infrastructures.
- Experience with virtual environments, such as VMware, KVM, Docker, Kubernetes.
- Experience with Ansible and Python.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- English proficiency at a professional level.
- Master’s degree in Computer Science or Telecommunication Engineering is a plus.
- Certification is a plus, such as CCNP or JNCIP.
Where You’ll Work: Turin, Italy.
