Job Overview

 

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Senior Monitoring Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in building and maintaining monitoring solutions to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our satellite services. In this position, you’ll work closely with product managers, operations engineers, and other monitoring engineers, contributing directly to our ongoing projects and initiatives. You are a passionate and experienced IT professional with a strong background in monitoring systems and performance optimization. You thrive in dynamic environments and have a knack for problem-solving. With excellent communication skills, you enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the reliability and efficiency of satellite connectivity services. You are proactive, detail-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement.

 

What You’ll Do:

 

  • Design, implement and maintain monitoring solutions to ensure the health and performance of the connectivity services and their infrastructure.
  • Collaborate operations teams to establish monitoring best practices and ensure seamless integration of monitoring tools.
  • Develop and maintain dashboards and alerts to provide real-time visibility into system performance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve monitoring-related incidents and provide support for escalated issues in a 24x7 operation environment, including on-call support.
  • Conduct regular reviews of monitoring systems and processes to identify areas for improvement and implement enhancements.

 

What You’ll Need:

 

  • MSc in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in IT monitoring, systems administration, or a related role.
  • Proficiency in monitoring tools such as Nagios, Zabbix, Dataminer, Grafana, or similar.
  • Strong understanding of network protocols, server architectures, and cloud environments.
  • Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl, C#)
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Fluent English
