Salesforce Technical/Solution Architect

Main purpose of job

In an innovative and continuously evolving context such as Eutelsat, we are looking for a Salesforce Technical/Solution Architect to be included in the Operational Digital HUB team.

The mission of the Operational Digital HUB team is to manage the evolutions of the IT platform dedicated to ground connectivity and video service management allowing Eutelsat and its partners (wholesalers and resellers) to sell and manage services all over the world.
The IT platform is built upon a distributed architecture using Salesforce (Sales Cloud, Services Cloud, Experience Cloud, Pardot and Marketing Cloud), Zuora (invoicing, payments), SAP (supply chain, logistics, finance) and integrated with the baseband systems through an OSS developed by Eutelsat (mainly in Java on a microservices architecture). Many other integrations are done with external services for payments, electronic signature, messaging and authentication.

The Salesforce Technical/Solution Architect will help guide digital transformation by aligning business and technology, defining the 'why and how' that drives solution success.
He/she will serve as executive-level strategic advisors who focus on business transformation with strong domain expertise in functional, platform and integration architecture with the aim to produce secure, scalable, and high-performance solutions that maximize the full potential of the IT Platform.



  • Act as a trusted advisor to design a vision and architecture for a solution to a business problem

  • Analyze and review IT Platform architecture and recommend improvements and evolutions of Salesforce platform and other integrated systems.

  • Help the team implement solutions following best practices and arbitrate between click and code solutions when necessary

  • Build proofs-of-concept (POCs) that teams can further iterate on

  • Ensure optimal performance of Salesforce systems and support monitoring activities

  • Active participation in defining specifications for enhancements and new features


Qualifications and Skills:

  • At least 3 years of experience as a Salesforce Architect in a similar complex environment

  • Proven experience in one or more Salesforce Product Technologies

  • Proven experience implementing technical architecture for complex large-scale projects

  • Ability to work in a dynamic and complex international environment with pro-activity and flexibility

  • Ability to work in team, with the right level of autonomy and excellent relationship-building skills

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Full proficiency in English (knowledge of French is a plus)

  • Experience in Telco industries

  • Degree in computer science or computer engineering or equivalent.

  • Salesforce certification welcome. Knowledge of Zuora is a remarkable plus

  • Knowledge of Jira and Agile methodology is a plus

  • ITIL knowledge is a plus
