Main purpose of job
The Satellite System Integration Engineer provides technical expertise and support for the design, the transition and the management of the service infrastructure. The main purpose of the job is to cooperate actively with other groups in order to provide an effective contribution for service implementation, change, optimization and service.
Furthermore, the Satellite System Integration Engineer is asked to determine the requirements that are needed in order to run properly the operational-related technologies and to provide guidance and an effective support to the operations.
This position is also responsible of verifying how the business needs can be matched on the operational side and how they impact the daily operational actions.

Main responsibilities:
• Ensure a smooth transition into operation of the new services, by closely following the overall service design and integration
• Consolidate project related information to provide the Operations teams with processes, working instructions and tools specifications
• Interact with the satellite infrastructure manufacturer during the major program milestones to ensure operational requirements are considered
• Support the deployments of new services and the related change management, considering both satellite and ground segment
• Perform risk assessment exercises and impact evaluation for all changes impacting the service delivery related to the new services
• Contribute to the continuous improvement process by delivering documentation, procedures and tools specifications aiming at supporting the Operations teams
• Support both the engineering and the delivery departments in the definition of the functional requirements from the operational perspective
• Provide guidelines and inputs to the delivery departments for change and testing activities, evaluating the change impact on the operating service and the customer management
• Support the design of operational tools, with particular attention to optimal use of resources and monitoring
• Provide operational support related the above-mentioned services whenever required, ensuring that all operating documentation is UpToDate and properly utilized
• Propose, maintain and improve service quality related KPIs, with respect to the contractual SLAs

• is requested to report to the ISMS Manager of all observed security issues

• A sharp customer-oriented attitude as well as a pragmatic approach are key qualities of the ideal candidate
• Experience in system delivery engineering in wireless/fixed communication is recommended
• Experience with standard network change management and configuration Policies
• Experience in supplier management is recommended
• Experience with ITIL practices and process for IT service management
• Experience in technical customer support is appreciated
• The candidate shall be fluent in English and French, additional foreign languages are a plus
