Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled L1 Controller to join our Communications System Control (CSC) team and play a critical role in supporting the monitoring and management of satellite and ground systems within the Eutelsat fleet. In this position, you’ll work closely with CSC L2 Controllers, Engineering, and other operational departments, contributing directly to the smooth running of satellite communications services. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within an organization that values technical expertise, teamwork, and continuous learning.

 

Who You Are:

You are an engineer or recent graduate with a solid foundation in telecommunications and a specific interest or experience in satellite communications. You are eager to grow your operational skills in a high-tech, international environment. You are a natural problem-solver, an effective communicator, and comfortable working in a shift-based team setting. You understand the importance of precision, procedure, and service continuity.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Support daily CSC L1 operations by handling routine and moderately complex tasks.
  • Act as the first point of contact for operational customer inquiries, offering initial troubleshooting and assistance.
  • Monitor the performance and integrity of customer services across the Eutelsat satellite fleet.
  • Detect, document, and escalate incidents following established operational procedures.
  • Coordinate the exchange of operational data within the CSC and with other departments.
  • Regularly update and maintain entries in the Operational Database.
  • Assist internal teams such as Sales, Planning, and Engineering with operational support.

 

What You’ll Need:

  • Degree in Engineering or Telecommunications, with medium-level experience in satellite communications.
  • Strong knowledge of telecommunications fundamentals and an eagerness to deepen satcom expertise.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to follow detailed procedures with rigor and reliability.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in an international, shift-based environment.
  • Familiarity with modern IT tools and operational support software.
  • Multitasking capability and composure under pressure.

 

Where You’ll Work:

This is a full-time, on-site position operating on a diurnal shift basis, within our dynamic Control Centre located at Paris-Rambouillet Teleport. You will be part of an international team dedicated to operational excellence in a critical and fast-evolving domain.
