Who You Are: 

 

As an engineer in a technical field (electronics, telecommunications, electrical or similar) you have a strong background in engineering, telecommunications or related field, with a good understanding of RF communications and satellite architectures. Experience on field engineering, project management and vendor management will be an excellent asset for this position, together with a good understanding of satcom technologies, IP communications and telecommunication infrastructures (satellite ground stations, datacenters, terrestrial networks, etc), allowing you to assess and integrate external vendor solutions into existing infrastructure to deliver solutions to clients worldwide.

 

 

What You’ll Do:

 

As part of the 3rd party Teleports team, applicant will have a key role in the design, development, and optimization of cutting-edge satellite communication systems, acting as referent for the integration, SLA management and operational follow-up of the external Teleport providers that configure a pivotal role on the Service portfolio of Eutelsat Group’s global solutions. This role is key for the development of a global portfolio of services and represents an integral part of the operations/implementation/delivery activity, collaborating closely with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless integration and operation of satellite networks, enabling reliable and efficient communication solutions for our clients.

 

The candidate will proactively manage the operational performance of worldwide Teleport contractors, closely taking ownership on incidents and changes and making sure Teleport Ground Services are delivered within the required performance. The identification of weaknesses and deviations from SLAs and best practises and the rollout of corrective actions will be part of the day-by-day responsibilities, also defining and optimizing operational procedures, generating operational documentation, and ensuring that all support information is available to the 24x7 support teams.

In close collaboration with presales and project management, applicant will lead the designing and delivering of Teleport services, defining global solutions with external Teleport contractors and providing feasibility studies and costs analysis to reply to service requests from our Video and Connectivity business units.

Orchestrating the evolution of all 3rd party Teleport infrastructures, candidate will coordinate all activities with vendors (implementations, decommissioning, changes, maintenances, etc.), assuring the optimization of Eutelsat Group’s resources for the delivery of global satcom solutions.

 

 

What it Takes: 

 

To succeed on this role, candidate will have a technical profile, demonstrating high level of autonomy and self-learning,  with a problem-solving and customer oriented mindset. You must have a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications or related field) with at least 3 years of experience working in the area of Telecommunications (terrestrial networks, satellite integrator, telecom infrastructures, etc). Proficiency in satellite communication protocols (e.g., DVB-S2, VSAT, TDMA), RF engineering principles, and network technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, MPLS) as well as knowledge of service management methodologies such as ITIL, or project management frameworks will be appreciated.

Communication will be a key aspect for this role, so strong interpersonal skills and communication skills are essential for this position. Proficiency in English together with another language will be of great value.

 

 

Where You’ll Be:  Working within the technical Operations department of Eutelsat Group, this role will be based at the Teleport of Rambouillet, an European Top-class Satellite ground station located in the south-west of Paris, France. You will have the opportunity to interact with different talented teams with broad experience on different areas of satellite network operations, working in an hybrid on-site / remote work schedule.
