Your impact:
As a part of the Communications System Control (CSC) team perform 24/7 shift control and supervision of all services on the Eutelsat space segment.
Your missions :
- Control of all customers’ services:
- Control of all carrier accesses to the satellite ensuring that all services operate to their defined transmission parameters.
- Co-ordinate and direct all service changes.
- Provide first line assistance to earth stations experiencing access problems.
- Monitor and assist the clients for Eutelsat teleport facilities and services, proactively reacting to any issues, escalating as required.
- Supervision of services
- Continually supervise all permanent services and in case of problems or interruptions proactively take actions to recover the services, escalating as required.
- Performance checks of services as appropriate.
- Maintain a continual and close relationship with all earth station operators.
3. Exchange of Data
- Record accurately and concisely all operational events and ensure any follow-up action required is implemented.
4.Facilities
- Continually supervise all monitoring and control equipment, reacting to any problems, and when required escalate to relevant support group for immediate action.
5.Miscellaneous
- Provide service bookings to customers outside the working hours of the Eutelsat Sales and Reservation Centre (SRC)
Your Profile:
- Technical background in IT and/or telecommunications.
- Preferrable working knowledge and experience of both telecommunications and television services, especially with respect to satellite-based services.
- Preferrable working knowledge of Satellite Earth Station technologies with a detailed understanding of all the components required when delivering a service to the satellite.
- Ability to use all industry standard test and measurement equipment used for analyzing links, such as spectrum analyzers and demodulators.
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
- Ability to work in an international team environment.
- Ability to work in multitasking environment.
- Familiarity with modern computer systems and software.
- Fluency in English and Spanish.
- Ability to understand and follow rigorously operational procedures.
