Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Accounting supervisor  to join our team and play a critical role in the quality of the financial information of our subsidiaries located in Brazil. In this position, you’ll work closely with Accounting director  and Tax director (located in Mexico), contributing directly to our ongoing projects and initiatives. Who You Are:

Certified Public Accountant with strong technical accounting knowledge, 5+ years of experience with an international Enterprises or Audit within a Big 4 Firms, ability to work effectively with little supervision, focus on results and excellent ability to follow up, excellent communication and problem solving skills.

What You’ll Do:

• Responsible for providing truthful and timely monthly balance information for the subsidiaries located in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro).
• Responsible for the revenue reporting in coordination with team of revenue controlling.
• Review that revenue- cost with intercompany comply with percentage set up in the contracts.
• Perform analysis of the P&L monthly variations against the previous month and the previous year and vs budget
• Supervise the monthly reporting of balance and P&L (through One Stream)
• Comply with controls to ensure that billing is complete and correct ensuring that the Brazilian tax rates were applied correctly.
• Supervise the bank reconciliations, AR and AP ties vs trial balance their analysis by aging
•  Fixed assets accounting control in local currency and USD.
•  Analysis by aging of the provisions of accounts payable and outstanding invoices.
• Analysis of the provisions of payroll  
• Design, implementation, maintenance, documentation and updating of accounting and internal control policies and procedures, integrating the requirements of other areas (Purchasing, Taxes, Financial Planning, Treasury, etc.)
• Review the compliance of all tax returns timely based on a calendar and prepare a Summary.
• Review the booking of tax provisions but also the payment of such taxes matches, if not ensure the booking of the adjustment.
• Validate the reasonable of tax balances accounts.
• Review that the bad debt reserve is proper computing and post in local ledger and report ledger.

What You’ll Need:

• Experience in accounting Brazilian and IFRS, internal control and taxes
• Fluency in English and Spanish desirable.
• Excel- advanced level
• Manage ERP desirable SAP

Where You’ll Work:

Hybrid mode 3 days at office and 2 days home office in Brazil (Rio de Janeiro)
