Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Product Assurance Manager to join our team and play a critical role in the quality management of in-orbit anomalies for GEO and LEO fleets. In this position, you’ll work closely with Satellite Fleet Engineering, Operations, Engineering and Ground teams, contributing directly to our ongoing projects and initiatives. Who You Are:
You are a structured and reliable Product Assurance professional with experience in satellite systems engineering and/or space operations. You are comfortable working in a technical environment where accuracy and organization are very important.
You are able to analyze technical issues in a clear and logical way, you are comfortable leading anomaly investigations, challenging technical assumptions, and driving corrective actions across multidisciplinary teams.
You are comfortable using IT tools and digital systems. You are able to maintain and update databases (e.g. JIRA) and ensure good data traceability. You understand the importance of structured data for monitoring and reporting activities.
You demonstrate strong communication skills, resilience under pressure, and a proactive mindset focused on risk mitigation and continuous improvement. You are motivated by ensuring mission success and long-term satellite reliability in orbit.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the end-to-end PA management of in-orbit satellite anomalies, from detection to root
cause analysis and closure.
- Chair the Anomaly Review Boards and coordinate investigations with engineering, operations, and subsystem experts. Make sure that all relevant experts are participating.
- Ensure proper anomaly classification, documentation, tracking, and reporting in accordance
with internal and manufacturer requirements.
- Monitor and drive the Anomaly Review Board Process using JIRA, including task tracking,
reporting, and KPI follow-up.
- Monitor corrective and preventive action plans and verify their effective implementation.
- Interface with customers and all stakeholders regarding anomaly status and resolution plans.
- Support lessons learned processes and feed anomaly insights into future programs and product improvements.
- Ensure compliance with applicable space industry standards and quality management systems.
What You’ll Need:
- Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Electronics,
or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in space systems, satellite engineering/production, product assurance, or in-orbit operations during the whole satellite lifetime.
- Understanding of satellite subsystems (AOCS, data handling, power, thermal, propulsion, RF
communications, etc.).
- Experience in anomaly investigation and root cause analysis methodologies (FMEA, Fault
Tree Analysis, etc.).
- Knowledge of space industry standards (ECSS, NASA, or equivalent quality frameworks).
- Experience working in cross-functional and international environments.
- Analytical, reporting, and documentation skills.
- Strong leadership and facilitation skills for Anomaly Review Boards.
- Excellent knowledge of English (B2 or higher).
Where You’ll Work:
The main office is in Issy-les-Moulineaux in France. Travel to contractors’ and their suppliers’ sites, as well as across the company’s entities, may be required. Home working is generally accepted on the basis of 2 days per week and in accordance with HR policies. This may be adjusted based on project needs and to ensure in-person meetings are held when they are most appropriate.
