Who You Are:

You are a proven Program Manager with demonstratable skills managing and developing processes and procedures for the maintenance and operations of Satellite or Terrestrial communication facilities. You have experience in defining quality standards and developing tools and metrics to measure what success looks like. You cannot resist the challenges of doing something new and innovative and won’t shy away from tackling difficult problems. What You’ll Do:

The Program Manager, SNP Americas is a member of the Teleports and Field Operations team implementing and operating Eutelsat’s Global LEO Ground Network. The manager will be responsible for the development and rollout of Eutelsat SNP quality standards, maintenance best practices, and the methods to monitor and oversee quality across our global ground network.  This position will report to the Ground Infrastructure Service Delivery Manager responsible for delivering the SNP sites into Operations and maintaining performance requirements. The manager will collaborate among a diverse group of Design and Implementation team members, peers, and internal/external parties to ensure our gateways are being properly maintained and kept at the highest standards of quality.

  • Oversight of SNP quality, security, and maintenance compliance
  • Work closely with Peers and SNP hosts to develop best practices for daily operations at our SNPs
  • Liaise with SNP Vendors’ Program Management to perform resource scheduling and to identify and manage dependencies and ensure activities and responsibilities are clearly communicated to all parties
  • Responsible for SNP maintenance activities and ensure performance and conformance with contractual MSA’s and SLA’s
  • Interface with the Network Operations Center, Systems Engineering, and the Legal/Regulatory & Contracts group as it pertains to the performance of the SNP hosts and their contractual obligations
  • Interface with relevant parties to develop and modify quality standards and develop plans to implement across existing and future teleports
  • Support Logistics activities as needed including placement/approval of purchase orders and management of vendor fulfillment, RMA’s, retrofit programs and design changes
  • Support site investigations including outages, RF surveys, major incidents
  • Manage documentation of vendor generated and internally generated procedures, requirements, and user manuals
  • Oversight of operational budget per SNP

 

What It Takes:

  • 8+ years of experience working in a project leadership role on technical and/or logistics projects
  • Demonstrated experience developing and measuring quality products and services with a focus on Satellite or Terrestrial communication systems
  • Display general knowledge of fiber optic, Radio Frequency, and communications technologies
  • Experience with project management tools including Microsoft Project, Excel, Teams, and other tools and disciplines to successfully deliver projects in a matrix management environment
  • Ability to understand, create, maintain, and status detailed processes and procedures
  • Knowledge and experience in budget estimating and reporting
  • Ability to facilitate team efforts to ensure program objectives are achieved. Drive collaboration and teamwork to execute the plan and monitor progress against the plan
  • Excellent inter-personal and communication skills with ability to build relationships with technical, business, and senior management stakeholders
  • Demonstrated success managing vendor/subcontractor(s) teams
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with passionate attention to detail
  • A high energy level with a dynamic, positive and ‘can do’ style
  • Ability to work under pressure against short timescales
  • Experience working with outsourced and internal delivery teams
  • Experience working with geographically dispersed teams
  • Ability and desire to travel internationally for business purposes

 

What We’d Love:

  • Experience and understanding of mobile telecommunications systems or satellite communications systems; Experience with MEO or LEO Ka-Band technologies a plus
  • Technical understanding of Satellite Ground Systems and architectures or similar
  • Technical understanding of fiber optic infrastructure and quality standards
  • Project Management Institute or equivalent certification or applicable and relevant experience

 

Where You’ll Be:  US or Europe. Travel up to 25% of the time.
