Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Satellite Controller to join our team and play a critical role in Satellite Operations. In this position, you’ll work closely with all Satellite Operations areas, contributing directly to our ongoing projects and initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within an organization that values growth, teamwork, and professional development.

Who You Are:

You’re passionate about satellite communications and are excited to be a self-starter who enjoys juggling the various facets of satellite operations.  

 

What You’ll Do:

Perform all activities and tasks necessary to operate the fleet of Eutelsat Americas. The Satellite Controller role is a real-time shift position. The satellite Controller is an expert in operation of the command-and-control software. The Satellite Controller plays an integral role in the successful operations of the EAS fleet.

Duties will include:

  • Monitor & facilitate the timely execution of all planned nominal tasks for satellite operations to ensure satellite safety and continuity of service
  • Detect and respond autonomously to a pre-defined set of urgent, satellite safety or service impacting anomalies
  • Escalate to relevant entity of any condition or anomaly considered of risk and not covered by pre-defined entry point or procedure
  • Perform ad-hoc activities under the instruction of relevant entity.
  • Record and report all operational activity performed on the fleet.

 

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent satellite operations work experience
  • Excellent oral and written skills and communication / briefing skills is essential
  • Fluent English (Speaking)

What We’d Love:

 

  • Experience in one or more of the following: Java, Python, C, or C++
  • Experience working in Unix/Linux OS based systems

 

Where You’ll Work:

Satellite Operations center in Iztapalapa, Mexico City, Mex.
