The Account Manager, Mexico will be responsible for developing and growing Eutelsat Group’s business in Mexico, with a primary focus on Enterprise, Government, Telecommunications, and strategic Distribution Partner opportunities.

The successful candidate will own assigned customer and partner relationships, develop strategic account plans, identify new opportunities, create qualified pipeline, and convert those opportunities into revenue.

This is not solely an account-maintenance role. The Account Manager will be expected to combine account management with proactive business development, developing new relationships and uncovering new use cases within existing and prospective customers.

The role requires a strong understanding of the Mexican telecommunications and connectivity market, disciplined sales execution, and the ability to coordinate complex opportunities involving multiple internal and external stakeholders.

What You’ll Do

Account Management & Revenue Growth

  • Own and develop a portfolio of strategic customers and partners across Mexico.
  • Build and execute comprehensive account plans designed to grow revenue, bookings, pipeline, and customer engagement.
  • Develop strong relationships with key customer stakeholders, including senior executives, commercial leaders, technical teams, procurement organizations, and operational teams.
  • Identify opportunities to expand existing customer relationships through new services, additional locations, capacity, applications, and solutions.
  • Drive customer retention while identifying upsell and cross-sell opportunities across Eutelsat Group’s GEO and LEO portfolio.
  • Understand customers’ strategic priorities, operational challenges, and connectivity requirements and translate them into actionable opportunities.

New Business & Pipeline Creation

  • Proactively identify and develop new enterprise and government opportunities throughout Mexico.
  • Build a healthy, qualified pipeline sufficient to support regional revenue and bookings objectives.
  • Develop new relationships with prospective customers rather than relying solely on inbound opportunities or existing accounts.
  • Identify new applications and use cases where satellite connectivity can solve customer business or operational challenges.
  • Develop opportunities across priority sectors such as:
    • Government and Public Sector
    • Telecommunications
    • Energy and Utilities
    • Oil & Gas
    • Mining
    • Enterprise Connectivity
    • Mobility and Transportation
    • Rural and Underserved Connectivity
    • Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery
    • Critical Infrastructure
  • Identify relevant government tenders, procurement opportunities, and strategic connectivity programs.

Distribution Partner Management

  • Develop productive relationships with Eutelsat Group’s distribution and channel partners in Mexico.
  • Establish joint business plans with strategic partners, including clearly defined revenue, pipeline, customer, and market-development objectives.
  • Work with partners to identify new customers and jointly develop opportunities.
  • Provide commercial support, enablement, and coordination to help partners successfully position Eutelsat solutions.
  • Regularly review partner pipeline, sales activity, forecasts, and performance.
  • Identify underperforming partnerships and develop corrective action plans where required.
  • Manage potential channel conflicts while protecting Eutelsat Group’s strategic and commercial interests.
  • Identify opportunities to expand or strengthen the partner ecosystem where additional market coverage or capabilities are required.

Complex Opportunity & Deal Management

  • Lead opportunities from initial customer engagement through qualification, solution development, proposal, negotiation, contract signature, and service activation.
  • Develop clear opportunity strategies and value propositions based on customer requirements.
  • Coordinate technical, commercial, legal, financial, service-delivery, and operational resources throughout the sales process.
  • Work closely with Pre-Sales and Engineering teams to develop solutions that address customer requirements.
  • Develop commercially compelling proposals while maintaining appropriate pricing discipline and profitability.
  • Navigate complex customer organizations and multi-stakeholder purchasing processes.
  • Maintain ownership of customer engagement throughout the sales cycle and ensure clear accountability for next steps.

GEO & LEO Solution Selling

  • Develop strong knowledge of Eutelsat Group’s GEO and OneWeb LEO capabilities and their respective applications.
  • Position the appropriate technology or integrated solution based on customer requirements rather than taking a product-only approach.
  • Clearly articulate the value of satellite connectivity based on factors including:
    • Network resiliency

    • Performance
    • Latency
    • Security
    • Service-Level Agreements

    • Network integration
    • Customer support
    • Business continuity

Forecasting & Sales Execution

  • Maintain complete and accurate opportunities, customer information, activities, and forecasts within the company CRM system.
  • Maintain strong CRM discipline and ensure opportunities accurately reflect probability, value, timing, next steps, and commercial status.
  • Develop reliable monthly, quarterly, and annual forecasts.
  • Participate actively in pipeline reviews, account reviews, forecast calls, and regional sales meetings.
  • Maintain clear action plans for strategic opportunities.
  • Identify risks to revenue and bookings objectives early and develop mitigation plans.
  • Deliver against assigned revenue, bookings, pipeline, and other commercial performance objectives.

Market Development & Intelligence

  • Monitor competitive activity, pricing, technology developments, regulatory trends, and changing customer requirements.
  • Identify emerging market opportunities and communicate relevant intelligence to regional leadership.
  • Provide recommendations regarding priority market segments, customers, partners, and applications.
  • Represent Eutelsat Group at appropriate customer meetings, industry conferences, trade shows, and government or industry events.
  • Build and maintain a strong professional network across Mexico’s telecommunications and connectivity ecosystem.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with Sales Engineering, Service Management, Product Management, Engineering, Operations, Marketing, Commercial, Finance, Legal, and Customer Support teams.
  • Act as the commercial owner and primary internal advocate for assigned customers.
  • Coordinate internal resources to resolve commercial, operational, or service-related customer issues.
  • Ensure commitments made to customers are clearly communicated internally and followed through to completion.
  • Maintain strong communication with regional leadership regarding major opportunities, customer concerns, competitive threats, and market developments.

  • Proven ability to generate new business and build pipeline rather than relying exclusively on established accounts or inbound opportunities.
  • Experience managing complex B2B sales cycles involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Strong understanding of the telecommunications and connectivity market in Mexico.
  • Experience working with channel partners, distributors, integrators, telecommunications providers, or managed-service providers.
  • Knowledge of satellite communications and GEO/LEO technologies strongly preferred.

  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and problem-solving skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Telecommunications, Technology, or a related discipline preferred.
  • MBA or advanced commercial qualification is an advantage.
  • Fluent Spanish and English required, with the ability to conduct professional customer negotiations and presentations in both languages.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within Mexico and internationally as required.
