Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Service Assurance Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in building and maintaining service assurance solutions to ensure the reliability and efficiency of our satellite services. In this position, you’ll work closely with product managers, operations engineers, and developers, contributing directly to our ongoing projects and initiatives. Who You Are:
You are a systems-focused engineer with deep hands-on expertise in service assurance and operations platforms in telecom and satellite environments. You’re passionate about automation, monitoring, and ensuring operational visibility across complex infrastructure. You’re a collaborative problem solver who communicates well with both engineering and operations teams, ensuring that systems support business and customer needs effectively and efficiently. You're proactive, analytical, and thrive in a high-availability, service-driven environment.
What You’ll Do:
· Design, implement, and maintain Service Assurance platforms used to manage and monitor satellite communication networks and support IT infrastructure.
· Develop and optimize telemetry, alarm correlation, and performance reporting for real-time visibility into network health and performance.
· Automate routine tasks such as provisioning, fault management, configuration updates, and performance analysis.
· Collaborate with network, IT, and operations teams to translate operational requirements into technical OSS capabilities.
· Integrate OSS modules (e.g., Fault Management, Performance Management, Configuration Management) with other enterprise systems, including NMS, EMS, and ticketing platforms, to support end-to-end service assurance
· Troubleshoot and resolve OSS-related issues, ensuring high availability and responsiveness of monitoring and orchestration systems.
· Conduct platform upgrades, performance tuning, and continuous integration of new data sources and OSS features.
· Maintain clear documentation including system architecture, integration flows, troubleshooting guides, and operational runbooks.
What You’ll Need:
· MSc in Computer Science, Information Systems, Telecommunications, or a related technical field.
· 3+ years of hands-on experience working with OSS systems in a telecommunications or satellite operations environment.
· Strong knowledge of OSS domains such as fault management, performance management, configuration management, and service provisioning.
· Experience with monitoring platforms such as Comarch, Nagios, Zabbix, Dataminer, ServiceNow ITOM or similar.
· Experience using TWAMP for network performance testing and service validation.
· Proficiency with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) and data integration methods (e.g., REST APIs, XML, JSON).
· Experience using Apache Kafka and Snowflake for building real-time data streams between monitoring systems and data platforms
· Familiarity with SNMP, NetConf, syslog, and telemetry ingestion protocols.
· Understanding of satellite ground infrastructure, gateway systems, and IP transport networks
· Understanding of ITIL practices and how OSS systems support operational workflows.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and a proactive mindset.
· Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, operations-focused environment.
Where You’ll Work:
You’ll be part of a global Monitoring engineering team, working from London office in hybrid mode.
