Who You Are:
The Group's Tax Department defines and implements the Group's tax policy by supporting and securing the Group's development operations throughout the world.
It carries out advisory, coordination and supervision functions to provide expert support to the various departments of the Group (operations, finance, legal, HR, etc.) to secure the Group tax positions, to identify and monitor the Group tax risks as well as to manage tax audits.
As a true “business partner”, reporting to the Group VP Tax, within a team of 6 people, you will oversee all tax issues within your perimeter which includes UK and APAC. You may also be the global point of contact for multiple topics within the tax department.

What You’ll Do:
- Provide tax analysis with respect to all current and exceptional operations involving all types of taxes: CIT, VAT, employment tax, customs duties and any other direct and indirect tax. A keen corporate tax specialist willing to work with these other taxes would be considered.
- Providing support on implementing the UK group’s Senior Accounting Officer/tax risk control framework policies and dealing with HMRC.
- Assistance on tax audits and litigations, management of the relationship with tax administrations.
- Support operations and commercial teams: analysis of tax impacts of projects, review and negotiation of tax clauses of commercial contracts.
- Support the Group transfer pricing policy, drafting, and updating of transfer pricing documentation.
- Tax analysis of restructuring transactions, provide support to M&A transactions in your region.
- Tax training and enhancement of tax knowledge of your main stakeholders.
- Monitoring of tax updates and timely communication on changes impacting Group companies
What It Takes:
- Professional qualification (ideally CTA, ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
- Relevant UK and international tax experience (6 to 8 years) gained in Big 4/law firm / Multinational corporate in-house tax department.
- An ability to take on many subjects and take initiatives, leading various files simultaneously and with consistency and autonomy.
- The position also requires rigor, a sense of analysis, listening skills and a very strong appetite for the Group's present and future challenges. It implies being pragmatic and business focused.
- A strong interpersonal skill and ability to work in teams, across functions and expertise.
- A good written and oral communication to provide clear and precise solutions to facilitate good decision-making.
- Strong accounting and financial knowledge are also required.
- Proficient in English both orally and in writing.
