What You’ll Do:
We are looking for a Fixed Assets Analyst to join our Finance team. This position will report to our Fixed Assets Manager and will be responsible for assisting in the fixed asset accounting processes for the whole organisation. Responsibilities include:
- Assist in posting all fixed asset and intangible asset related entries into the ERP system.
- Lease accounting under IFRS16 reporting.
- ARO (Asset retirement obligation) accounting
- Input/maintain/update lease additions, renewals and terminations in Lease Query system
- Posting lease and other journals.
- Preparation of quarterly/monthly reconciliation of B/S lease related accounts.
- Capitalisation of assets and regular update to the fixed assets register.
- Reporting and analysis of assets under construction.
- Participate in the analysis of capital expenditure, including capex-labour analysis.
- Assist in processing audit queries.
- Perform special projects as needed.
What it Takes:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting/Finance.
- Experience of fixed assets accounting.
- Proven ability to understand and apply IFRS on the job.
- SAP Experience is a plus.
- Use of excel models.
- Experience of preparing accounting and audit schedules and notes.
What We’d Love:
- Experience of a first-class control environment.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly and concisely express ideas both verbally and in writing, this will include communication of accounting policies and procedures to corporate team members.
- Absolute discretion and confidentiality regarding sensitive information.
- Ability to take initiative to identify, prioritize and implement all elements required for the team to fulfil responsibilities in accordance with core strategic goals.
- Strong problem-solving skills, including ability to effectively address any issue in collaboration with others as appropriate; ability to proactively identify and prevent potential problems.
- Ability to work well under pressure and effectively handle multiple, concurrent and shifting demands as well as appropriately prioritize responsibilities. Must deliver following tight timelines and deadlines.
- Ability to coordinate between various corporate functional groups.
Where You’ll Be: Our London Office in White City on at least a part time basis.
