Job Overview:
The Antenna Field Lead will be responsible for leading and supporting a team of Field Engineers that support operation, troubleshooting and diagnosis of field-related trouble calls, and issues associated with earth station and satellite network systems. The position requires a system-level understanding of the principles of satellite RF communications including Ku-Band and Ka plus familiarity with the following equipment is desirable: LEO tracking antennas, Antenna Control Units (ACU)s, transmitters, antennas, antenna controls, motors, resolvers, LNAs, encoders, 3-phase power, signal routing, fiber optics. The position also requires basic knowledge of network communications. The candidate will need the ability to read schematic, technical documents and wiring diagrams.

 

What You'll Do:

• Lead a team of field engineers and provide technical oversight, and scheduling of field resources to support and sustain a global network of LEO teleports
• Test, troubleshooting, commissioning and continuing support of Satellite Network Portals (SNP) build out and operation.
• Support of installation, commissioning, and integration with OneWeb Partners
• Knowledge of rack integration, cable fabrication, cable terminations and interconnect wiring diagrams
• Optimizing earth station antennas performing antenna patterns, G/T, and overall functionality
• Ability to configure and test IP based network equipment and peripherals.

What it Takes:
• Minimum 3 years of prior related experience in a lead or supervisory role with a focus on Antennas. Experience with LEO tracking antennas a bonus.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Must be willing to travel Domestic and International 50%
• Self-starting and highly motivated
• Excellent people skills; collaboration in a multi-disciplinary and diverse dynamic team environment
• Excellent communication skills (written, verbal, & presentation)
