Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Senior Sales Manager – Telcos & ISPs, Central & East Africa to join our team, focusing on business development and strategic account growth within the telecom and ISP sectors.

This role is pivotal in expanding Eutelsat’s footprint across the region by identifying, nurturing, and growing high-value partnerships with mobile network operators, Tier-1 ISPs, and government stakeholders. You will be responsible for driving revenue growth through cellular backhaul, rural coverage, 4G/5G expansion, enterprise connectivity, and positioning Eutelsat’s GEO and LEO satellite solutions as the preferred choice for long-term infrastructure development.

This is a high-impact role requiring expertise in complex telecom environments, long sales cycles, and high-level negotiations.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Business Development & Sales
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities with Telcos, ISPs, and public sector entities.
  • Drive revenue generation across different verticals -> mobile backhauling, enterprise access, rural connectivity, and mobility solutions.
  • Lead complex sales cycles, including large-scale RFPs and strategic negotiations with Telcos.
  • Develop and execute territory growth plans aligned with regional priorities.

 

  • Account Management
  • Build and maintain C-level relationships with key accounts and decision-makers.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients, helping them build and scale satellite-enabled services and grow their pipeline.
  • Ensure account retention and upsell opportunities through proactive engagement and solution diversity GEO/LEO portfolio.

 

  • Market Development
  • Position Eutelsat’s LEO (OneWeb) and GEO (C, Ku, Ka bands, Konnect WiFi) solutions in the regional telecom landscape.
  • Monitor competitive activities and propose action plans to strengthen Eutelsat’s positioning.
  • Promote Eutelsat solutions in industry forums, regulatory discussions, and governmental engagements.

 

  • Internal Collaboration
  • Collaborate with internal teams including Pre-Sales, Engineering, Legal, Finance, and Marketing to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasts, and reporting to HQ.

 

Who You Are:

  • Proven track record in telecom sales and business development, ideally within satellite communications, mobile networks, or transmission planning
  • Deep understanding of the Central & East African telecom ecosystem, with established industry relationships.
  • Skilled in managing complex accounts, long sales cycles, and large contracts with Telcos and governments.
  • Strong knowledge of GEO/LEO satellite technologies and their applications in mobile backhaul and enterprise connectivity.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise and governmental markets.
  • Familiarity with telecom infrastructure deployment, commissioning, and ecosystem.
  • Ability to work autonomously in the region while collaborating with global teams.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, reporting and communication skills.
  • Fluent in French and English (additional local languages are a plus).

 

Where You’ll Work: Remote, preferably based in Central/Eastern Africa (DRC, Kenya) with regular travel across the region.
