Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled VP Budget and Performance Management to join our team and play a critical role in driving financial discipline, performance optimization, and strategic alignment across the CDIO organization. In this position, you’ll work closely with the CDIO and Technology Leadership Team, contributing directly to the success of IT portfolios by enhancing financial planning, budget governance, and value tracking. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within an organization that values growth, accountability, and cross-functional collaboration.

 

Who You Are

You are a strategic finance leader with expertise in planning, performance management, and IT portfolio governance. Skilled at navigating cross-functional environments, you bring sharp business acumen, clear communication, and a drive for continuous improvement. You excel at turning complex data into actionable insights that support senior decision-making.

 

What You’ll Do:

  • Financial management
    • Lead the end-to-end financial planning and budgeting cycle for the CDIO organization, covering tracking and planning for OPEX, CAPEX and resources.
    • Create transparency of financial performance and other strategic CDIO KPIs towards budget owners and monitor performance against established KPIs.
    • Advise the CDIO and Technology Leadership Team on cost drivers, strategic risks, trade-offs to support informed decision-making and recommendations for how to optimize IT spend across initiatives and operations.
  • Vendor and contract management
    • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, support negotiating contracts and agreements to optimize costs and service delivery.
    • Implement vendor performance metrics and dashboards to assess vendor reliability, quality, and overall performance inline with key objectives and contractual KPIs.
  • ISO and Audit management
    • Drive process for internal and external audits, involving CDIO experts and teams upon need.
    • Manage ISO certifications and steer organization until final outcomes.
  • Reporting and cross-functional governance
    • Lead the development and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess organizational and vendor performance, and drive continuous improvement within finance, vendor performance and reporting processes.
    • Deliver reporting packages, executive KPI dashboards and strategic presentations for leadership and board-level audiences.
    • Partner with Procurement, Finance & Controlling, and other teams to drive consistency, data accuracy, and transparency in financial and performance reporting.

 

What You’ll Need

  • Strong background in financial planning & analysis (FP&A) or performance management, ideally in a technology or IT context.
  • In-depth knowledge of IT cost structures, including projects, infrastructure, software, and service delivery.
  • Experience in defining delivery KPIs (for productivity, software quality, transformation milestones, …) for contracts and setting up governance for monitoring vendors and teams against KPIs.
  • Ability to translate financial and performance data into strategic insights and recommendations.
  • Degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Excel, Power BI, Powerpoint or similar reporting and visualization tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing senior leaders.
  • Prior experience in multinational, matrixed organizations.
  • Fluent in English (spoken and written); other languages are a plus.
