Job Overview:
We are looking for a skilled and proactive System/Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and manage cloud-based applications and services that align with business objectives. In this role, you will collaborate with development, operations, and architecture teams to implement scalable and secure cloud solutions. This is an exciting opportunity to work with cutting-edge cloud technologies, optimize performance, and play a key role in the automation and security of cloud infrastructure.
Who You Are:
You are an experienced System/Cloud Engineer with a strong background in cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud. You are highly proficient in scripting, automation, and DevOps tools, with a deep understanding of cloud security, networking, and infrastructure management. You thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy solving complex problems, and are passionate about leveraging emerging technologies to build efficient, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions.
What You’ll do:
- Design, deploy, and manage cloud-based applications and services while ensuring they align with business objectives.
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.
- Collaborate with development and operations teams to seamlessly integrate cloud solutions into workflows.
- Monitor and optimize cloud environments to ensure high performance and reliability.
- Troubleshoot and resolve cloud infrastructure issues effectively.
- Identify and implement cost-saving opportunities within cloud environments.
- Automate deployment, monitoring, and management tasks using scripting languages and DevOps tools.
- Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support efficient and reliable deployments.
- Work with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes to manage scalable environments.
- Ensure cloud infrastructure complies with security policies and industry standards.
- Manage identity and access controls while conducting regular vulnerability assessments and applying necessary updates.
- Collaborate with architects, developers, and stakeholders to develop and execute robust cloud strategies.
- Document cloud infrastructure processes and maintain comprehensive, up-to-date records.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and best practices in cloud computing to drive innovation.
What You’ll Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience as a Cloud Engineer or similar role with hands-on expertise in cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
- Strong background in systems administration, networking, and automation, with proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Experience with cloud orchestration and automation tools, as well as a solid understanding of networking concepts like VPCs, subnets, load balancers, and DNS.
- Knowledge of cloud security best practices and monitoring tools.
- Certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional), Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator (CKA) are a plus.
