Job Overview

We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Software Product Assurance Manager to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring that software projects are delivered in compliance with applicable standards, processes, quality requirements, and contractual commitments. In this position, you’ll work closely with end-to-end system engineering and space segment departments, contributing directly to our ongoing projects and initiatives. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within an organization that values growth, teamwork, and professional development.

Who You Are:

  • You have strong leadership and technical skills demonstrated by more than 10 years in satellite telecommunication software developments, implementing space recognized quality standards (Senior experience in software project assurance, quality, configuration management for complex systems).
  • You have evolved in international space projects and in industrial customer / contractor relationship. Comfortable working in international environments.
  • You have high level of software product/quality assurance technical expertise.

What You’ll Do:

The Software PA Manager ensures that software activities supporting an end-to-end system satellite constellation are developed, deployed, and operated in compliance with applicable standards, processes, and service continuity constraints. The role provides independent project assurance across development and operational phases, with a strong focus on system availability, evolutions, and operational robustness.

  • Project Assurance & Quality – Ground and Space Segment
    • Define, implement, and monitor the Project Assurance and Quality Plan for software activities.
    • Ensure compliance of ground and space segments software with applicable standards,

internal processes, and contractual requirements.

    • Perform reviews, audits, and assessments covering development, integration, validation, deployment, and operations.
    • Ensure quality objectives are maintained throughout iterative releases and system evolutions.
    • Leverage expertise in automated testing and validation practices to encourage their adoption within the software development team
    • Define, monitor, and report on Software Quality KPIs (e.g., number of defects, release performance, automation coverage, etc.) to ensure continuous improvement and delivery excellence.

 

  • SW Configuration & Documentation Management
    • Ensure proper configuration management of ground segment software, interfaces, and operational documentation.
    • Verify consistency, traceability, and completeness of software baselines across distributed

ground infrastructures.

    • Oversee change management, ensuring impacts on operations, availability, and service continuity are properly assessed and controlled.

 

  • Operational & Service Continuity Assurance
    • Support assurance activities during operational phases, including in-service upgrades,

patches, and anomaly resolution.

    • Ensure operational constraints, availability requirements, and continuity of service are fully

addressed during system changes.

    • Contribute to go/no-go decisions for deployments and operational transitions.

 

What You’ll Need:

  • Engineering degree or equivalent in Software Engineering, Systems Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycles, quality standards, CI/CD, SRE.
  • Proven experience in a lead or coordination role within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Experience in regulated or safety-critical environments (space, aerospace, telecom, defense, or similar) is highly valued.
  • Strong technical English required (B2 or higher).

Where You’ll Work:

The main office is in Issy-les-Moulineaux in France. Travel across the company’s entities are required (mainly Turin and London). Home working is generally accepted on the basis of 2 days per week and in accordance with HR policies. This may be adjusted based on project needs and to ensure in-person meetings are held when they are most appropriate.
