Job Overview
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Mission Segment Architect to join our team and play a critical role in the architecture and development of our Next Generation Resource Management Systems and Mission Control Centre. In this position, you’ll be responsible for working with Industrial partners to define the architecture of the IRIS2 MCC (Mission Control Centre) and SRM (System Resource Manager). You’ll work closely with systems engineering, software engineering, operations, and various Industrial partners and sub-contractors. Who You Are:
You’re an experienced systems engineer with experience working in Satellite communications or with other highly complex telecommunication systems. You have experience in the architecture and operations of resource management systems and experience supervising sub-contractors/industrial partners. You have experience in technical product management. You’re a self-motived creative thinker who works collaboratively and is ready to produce results. You can identify and understand the system level impact of component/sub-system level changes. You possess superb communications skills with the ability to work across organisational boundaries. You want to make a real difference in the world by revolutionizing technology in Space.
What You’ll Do:
- Own, review and manage the processes governing the definition of the MCC and SRM concept of operations and technical specifications.
- Collaborate with system architecture, solution architecture, hardware, and software teams on ensuring cross-functional derived requirements and deliverables are identified and tracked.
- Review technical work done by our Industrial partners and sub-contractors to actively monitor and assess the design, development, build, integration and test of the MCC and SRM.
- Work with Eutelsat Group engineering leads, product/program management, partner ecosystem, and end-customer IT / technology network teams to ensure that system acceptance testing and validation meets schedule and quality requirements.
What You’ll Need:
- A Masters degree in a relevant field Aerospace engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Physics or Maths.
- A collaborative nature and strong ability to communicate across multiple stakeholder levels and work across organisational boundaries.
- 5+ years’ experience working with LEO/MEO/GEO satellite communication systems and their CONOPS.
- A strong technical understanding of RF communications engineering.
- Experience in the architecture and operations of resource management systems.
- Experience in the set-up and running of a Network Operations Centre (NOC).
- Knowledge of 3GPP standards.
Where You’ll Work: Issy-Les-Moulineaux, France. Some travel required.
