Your impact: 

 

Reporting to the Satellite Control Centre Operations Manager, working as member of the

Eutelsat satellite control team within the operations department, the successful candidate will

help to ensure the efficient, effective and safe operation of Eutelsat’s fleet of geostationary

telecommunication satellites in compliance with Service Operations security.

 

 Your missions :

 

  • Monitor and control the Eutelsat fleet of satellites as part of a 24/7 shift team
  • Execute all routine and scheduled satellite operations using the authorised flight operations procedures
  • Monitor and control the Eutelsat TT&C network and systems to ensure robust command and telemetry link availability
  • Perform satellite payload reconfiguration activities in accordance with customer requirements
  • Perform first line response and corrective measures to satellite and ground facility contingencies
  • Perform efficient and appropriate escalation of problems to the supporting engineering teams
  • Maintain the operational activity log
  • Assist in the verification and validation of new or upgraded operational tools and systems
  • Take part in regular training exercises to ensure full operational readiness and awareness
  • Perform shift planning activities
  • Participate in the definition of improvements to the satellite control centre tools, Procedures and processes
  • Liaise with the controllers of the Eutelsat Communications System Control Centre (CSC) in order to implement satellite payload reconfigurations

 

Profile :  

 

Mandatory : 

  • Higher technical qualification (Bac+2)
  • Proven ability to work unsupervised for extended periods
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 shift team rota system
  • Ability to work methodically and accurately in a multitasking environment
  • Desire to work as part of an international team
  • Confident personality with good communication skills
  • Excellent knowledge of one of the official languages of Eutelsat (English or French) and good knowledge of the other.

 

Nice to have : 

  • 2-3 years’ experience of in-orbit satellite control
  • Experience in the use of SCOS-2000 derived satellite control systems
  • Experience in the operation of geostationary telecom satellites
