Who You Are: 

Take part in an international project aimed at connecting the world as a Software Application Engineer within the teams responsible for the operational availability and evolution of Eutelsat's Satellite Fleet Control Software Systems.

What You’ll Do:

• Ensure maximum operational availability of all business software within Eutelsat's Satellite Fleet Control Systems.

• Participate in specifying the technical and operational requirements for new control and operational support software and oversee their implementation and operation.

• Contribute to the definition and implementation of operating, administrative, and maintenance procedures for business software. This includes conducting analyses and investigations in case of anomalies and implementing fixes in accordance with security standards (ISO 27001) and quality control procedures (ISO 9001).

• Update and maintain software and associated systems versions across different sites, ensuring overall optimization and performance management.

• Maintain communication with software vendors to achieve quality and availability goals for installations and implement necessary system changes.

• Participate in defining and implementing procedures and tools for system monitoring and preventive maintenance of IT systems.

• Provide technical support to users.

• Be available for on-call duty after an initial integration period within the teams.

What it Takes: 

• Bachelor's degree (Bac + 5) or equivalent.

• Two (2) to five (5) years of experience in software engineering and the implementation, management, and maintenance of complex information systems:

• Operation and maintenance of software on Linux, Python, Scripting, Java, Docker, VMWare technologies.
• Software configuration management.
• Implementation of software patches: security, performance, and enhancement.

• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
