Who You Are: 


Take part in an international project to connect the world as Regulatory and Spectrum Management Engineer in our Strategy and Resource Business unit. You will report to the Director of Regulatory Affairs and Spectrum Management. You will actively participate in the technical work of international bodies like the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) or regional organization like, CEPT, ATU to defend Eutelsat interests. You may also support specific GSO and NGSO spectrum activities and frequency coordination matters by supporting the relevant filing process, preparing the filing technical data and performing the relevant technical analysis.

 


What You’ll Do: 


•    Participate to the work of International Telecommunications Union (ITU) study groups and the relevant Regional Telecommunication organizations. Prepare the required contributions and defend them during the meetings
•    Preparation and coordination of ITU filings in the planned bands. 

•    Defend Eutelsat positions in international and national meetings to protect existing satellite allocations as well as to identify and secure new spectrum
•    Act as an internal Eutelsat coordinator for World Radiocommunications Conferences (WRC) agenda items that are of interest to Eutelsat

•    Develop and maintain relationships with national regulators (e.g. ANFR) and representatives of other operators or manufacturers engaged in regulatory work
•    Analyze the current regulatory environment, propose strategies for improvement, and lead the associated work. Prepare the required contributions
•    Perform study of spectrum assets or regulatory environment for internal projects
•    Interface with other Eutelsat’s teams to analyse, report and advise on regulatory and spectrum maagement issues

 

 

What it Takes: 

 

  • 5 + years of experience in satellite communications and/or spectrum management

  • Master's degree in Telecommunication, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline

  • Fluent in English is mandatory and French would be appreciated

  • Strong analytical, problem solving and communication skills

  • A good understanding of the satellite regulatory environment and the ITU procedures is an asset

 

 

Where You’ll Be:  The position is based at Issy les Moulineaux, Paris Area, France.
