DESCRIPTION OF THE JOB
As the Manager, Maritime Offering at Eutelsat Group, you will be at the forefront of driving Eutelsat Oneweb's presence in the maritime market. From market insights to product delivery and lifecycle management, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the success of our maritime offerings.
DIMENSION
The Manager, Maritime Offering, will participate in definition of the end-to-end process, from collecting market insights and designing offerings to supporting go-to-market (GTM) strategies, delivery, and ongoing lifecycle management.
This position involves high collaboration with cross-functional teams, requiring coordination with Sales, Business Development, Engineering, Platform & Capacity Management, Marketing Communications, Product Owners, Legal and other relevant stakeholders. The role also involves optimizing procedures and ensuring comprehensive documentation of all features are well recorded and brought together for overall offering collaterals.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Market Insights to Offering Design:
- Collect market insights from various sources and analyze data from Strategic Marketing, maritime vertical, sales, customers, suppliers, and competitors.
- Lead Offering Design, encompassing plan development, pricing strategies, service performances, SLAs, terminal requirements, and unique selling propositions (USPs) for all maritime market sub-segments for LEO, GEO or Hybrid communications solutions.
- Collect and analyze revenue forecasts for all maritime offerings, requesting new features from transversal 'Product Owners,' and prioritizing based on revenue potential.
- Evaluate commercial feasibility of the product in collaboration with all involved departments, seeking commercial approval to proceed with development.
GTM for the Offering:
- Provide product guidance for the GTM strategy and promotion of maritime-related topics.
- Create training materials and lead sales training sessions.
- Coordinate product launch approval with relevant stakeholders both inside and outside the Eutelsat Oneweb Business Unit (BU).
Delivery & Life Management:
- Lead the Offering launch, ensuring delivery based on available products, including product, pricing, contract, tax, legal, and communication plans. Adhere to Offering Lifecycle Processes.
- Provide guidance on priority levels for product delivery.
- Accountable for Vertical performance – against forecast, yield, and operational targets.
- Lead plan for Offering update and withdrawal based on strategy and vertical performances
Communication:
- Build a comprehensive 360° offering launch plan, collaborating with Marcomms for information dissemination, training, pitching, and communications.
- Create collateral with Marcomm support to effectively communicate the maritime offerings.
- Evangelize the vertical offering vision and value proposition internally.
- Communicate a clear Offering Roadmap per vertical aligned with the overall Product Roadmap.
PROFILE
- Strategic thinker with a passion for driving innovation in maritime satellite connectivity
- Excellent proficiency with Excel and other Office products
- Fluency in written & spoken English is mandatory. French or additional languages is advantageous.
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related Engineering field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in maritime or satellite industry, with a focus on connectivity.
- Proven track record in product management, GTM strategy, and lifecycle management in a technology-driven environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen understanding of the satellite connectivity and maritime industries.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all organizational levels.
- Familiarity with satellite technology, maritime market trends, and regulatory landscape.
- Experience in managing cross-functional teams and driving successful product launches.
- PMP or relevant certifications would be a plus.
