Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Launch Service Procurement Manager to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring competitive procurement and effective coordination of launch vehicle services. In this position, you’ll work closely with internal teams and external providers to manage procurement, negotiations, and launch vehicle selection. This is a unique opportunity to make a significant impact within an organization that values growth, teamwork, and professional development.
Who You Are:
The ideal candidate will have a strong engineering background with contract and commercial experience, specifically in launch vehicle procurement and management. You are a proactive and collaborative professional, skilled at building relationships with key stakeholders and managing complex negotiations. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a deep understanding of launch vehicle processes and procurement strategies.
What You’ll Do:
- Identify potential candidate launch vehicles for specific programs, ensuring competitive procurement.
- Monitor the status of launch vehicle activities and the progress of upcoming solutions.
- Maintain relationships with all relevant launch vehicle providers and discuss opportunities.
- Coordinate with the launch procurement team already in place at Eutelsat Group.
- Leverage multiple buys for Eutelsat Group opportunities.
- Prepare, discuss, and negotiate launch service agreements and all related contractual documents with selected providers.
- Master and apply Eutelsat Group standard contract processes and documentation.
- Monitor the progress of the selected launch vehicle according to the contract and launch plan.
- Manage variations as required by the program or for launch vehicle updates.
- Organize and supervise launch campaigns.
- Supervise licenses and permissions for launches.
- Participate in financial negotiations for private and institutional funding of launch activities.
- Ensure compliance with executed launches in collaboration with the operations team.
What You’ll Need:
- Degree in Engineering with contract and commercial experience.
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in launch vehicle procurement and interface/management activities.
- Proven experience in conducting launch campaigns.
- Proficiency in French and English (minimum).
