Job Overview:

 

Eutelsat’s OSSI is responsible for the tasks described in Section 2.6 of Ministerial Instruction No. 900, approved by Order of 15 March 2021 on the protection of classified information and information subject to restricted distribution and sensitive information, as well as in Interministerial General Instruction 1300.

 

What You'll Do:

In particular, the OSSI is responsible for the following tasks:

  • Overall organization of the protection of classified and restricted information contained in or circulating within the organisation’s classified and restricted information systems.
  • Overseeing the overall approval process for restricted or classified services under French governmental agreement:
    • Implementing the approval and accreditation strategy.
    • Monitoring security reviews and audits.
    • Drafting or consolidating accreditation dossiers.
  • Managing security and monitoring approvals for restricted networks and classified services.
  • Carrying out threat and risk assessments to ensure that appropriate security measures are implemented quickly and effectively.
  • Conducting internal compliance checks and audits in accordance with official guidelines (IGI 1300, II 901, IM 900).
  • Supporting technical team in IT equipment, networks, and regulatory evolution.
  • Key expectations with regards to restricted and  classified services :
    • Developing and updating dedicated procedures and documentation (operational, governance, auditing).
    • Gathering key expectations and requirements for new features/evolutions (both internal and external).
    • Managing and supporting all changes regarding restricted and classified network access rights (creation, deletion, and periodic reviews).
    • Supporting the use, handling, and storage of secure communication equipment and classified information.
    • Identify properly the policies required by regulations.
    • Promote and enforce current policy and regulations
    • Advise communication and information systems managers on the implementation and maintenance of information system security practices.
    • Supporting the reporting and handling of security incidents.
  • Acting as the primary point of contact for national authorities (ACSSI register, Certification Commission, inspections, etc.).
  • Operating under the direct supervision of the Security Officer.

 

What You'll Need:

  • Previous experience (5 years +) within the French public sector, ANSSI, Ministry of Defence, Armed Forces, or a similar governmental/defence environment.
  • Strong knowledge of French classified information regulations, including IGI 1300, IM 900 and related security and accreditation requirements.
  • Proven understanding of security accreditation/approval processes for classified and restricted information systems and services.
  • Eligible for, or already holding, a high-level French security clearance.
  • Good understanding of the protection and handling of classified and restricted information.
  • Experience working in a highly regulated and security-sensitive environment.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with French governmental and security authorities.
  • Strong analytical, organizational and communication skills.
  • Fluent French and good working knowledge of English, both written and spoken.
