Job Overview: 

The Head of European Affairs is responsible for defining and implementing Eutelsat’s institutional and policy engagement strategy at European Union level. The role focuses on EU institutions, agencies, and programs, with the objective of safeguarding Eutelsat’s strategic interests and supporting institutional business development.

Who you are :

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading Eutelsat’s engagement with EU institutions and stakeholders, notably the European Commission (DG DEFIS, DG CNECT, DG INTPA), the European Parliament, the Council, and relevant EU agencies, on space, defense, secure connectivity, and digital policies.
• Monitoring, analyzing, and influencing EU legislative and regulatory initiatives (e.g. EU Space Act, Secure Connectivity, Digital Networks Act, GOVSATCOM, MFF), including contributions to consultations, reports, and proposed amendments.
• Supporting institutional and governmental business development by facilitating Eutelsat’s and OneWeb’s participation in EU programmes, and coordinating institutional outreach related to major initiatives such as IRIS², SAFE, and Global Gateway.
• Managing priority EU Member State engagement including coordination of internal teams, institutional meetings, expert discussions, and field missions.
• Enhancing Eutelsat’s visibility and credibility with EU institutions through participation in high-level events, panels, and strategic networks, including active management of Eutelsat’s membership within ESPI.
• Ensuring full compliance with EU transparency, ethics, and reporting obligations, including the EU Transparency Register, LEAR declarations, ESA registrations, and internal documentation and archiving of institutional activities.
