Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Computer Systems Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in the Computer Systems Engineering Team, helping to manage our Satellite Control Operations. In this position, you’ll work closely with Satellite Control Operators, Satellite and Software Engineers, contributing directly to our ongoing projects and initiatives. You are organized, methodical, and rigorous. You enjoy working in a team, solving challenges thinking out of the box, and through testing and searching towards innovative solutions, meeting deadlines and user requirements.
What You’ll Do:
- Participate in the definition and ensure the implementation, corrective and evolutionary maintenance and administration of the IT systems required for satellite control operations.
- Guarantee the operational availability of the IT facilities required for satellite control operations, in compliance with the security and quality rules applicable to the scope of the control resources, in accordance with the general policy defined.
- Provide user support, corrective and evolutionary maintenance, and implementation of new equipment and infrastructure, in accordance with user and project requirements.
What You’ll Need:
You have a strong experience working with Linux Systems for 3 to 5 years.
You are familiar with datacenter infrastructure tooling, and at least a scripting language like Bash or Python.
Where You’ll Work:
You will be working in our Main Satellite Control Centre located in Issy Les Moulineaux, and our Backup Centre located in Rambouillet.
You will be asked to provide remote system support to users located in various sites around the world, and occasionally be required to travel to a remote site to support operations.
