Job Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic and skilled Capacity Planning Engineer to join our Space Segment Management team. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing the allocation and utilization of satellite capacity to ensure the highest quality of service while maximizing revenue. You will work closely with customers, commercial teams, operations, and internal technical stakeholders to support service setup, ensure smooth operations, and contribute to strategic and transversal initiatives.

This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in the performance and efficiency of our GEO-LEO fleet while contributing to innovation, continuous improvement, and strategic analysis within a global satellite leader.

Who You Are
You are a goal-oriented engineer with strong fundamentals in telecommunications and satellite systems. You thrive in a collaborative environment, enjoy solving complex technical challenges, and can manage multiple priorities with precision and rigor. You are comfortable interacting with customers and cross-functional teams, providing both technical expertise and clear communication.

What You’ll Do
As a Capacity Planning Engineer, you will be responsible for:

• Define, together with customers and operators, the capacity required in the space segment to support their services
• Provide technical support on space capacity management and respond to customer needs
• Define technical and operational characteristics of carriers and ensure their compatibility (e.g., interference analysis, operating parameters)
• Prepare transmission plans and allocate capacity in coordination with the Commercial Department
• Draft technical appendices to capacity lease agreements
• Lead and coordinate service transfers from one satellite to another
• Monitor and manage transponder performance
• Coordinate with the Commercial Department
• Provide guidance on satellite ground-segment equipment
• Contribute to strategic analyses for existing and future satellites
• Participate in transversal projects and process/tool enhancements

What You’ll Need
• A master’s degree in Telecommunications or equivalent

• Fluent English (additional languages appreciated)
