JOB OVERVIEW:

 

The role will support the local Finance team in reporting, budgeting & forecasting revenues, capex and cash. The candidate will work closely with various departments to ensure accurate financial planning and track important financial performance indicators (KPIs). Additionally, the Financial Analyst ensures adherence to financial regulations and continuously seeks ways to enhance financial processes. Proficiency in data analysis, effective communication, and financial software is crucial for success in this role.

The position requires not only the collection of data but more importantly financial support through the interpretation and analysis of the trends and interrelationships that allow informed business decisions to be made.

 

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Managing monthly closing and coordinating with other departments (including Accounting, Central Controlling and Commercial / Sales-Operation teams) to ensure accuracy and exhaustiveness of revenues in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles (IFRS and local French GAAP)
  • Securing the billing cycle process on a monthly basis, which includes the verification of quotes in Salesforce, validation of contracts in SAP and the correct issuance of accurate and exhaustive monthly invoices. It also includes maintaining revenue recognition files, ensuring proper posting of revenues and deferred revenues and correcting any discrepancies if needed.
  • Maintaining daily records of cash inflows and outflows and ensuring their consistency with central team's cash position instructions. It also includes reconciling daily transactions in treasury systems and ensuring their correct classification. Additionally, the role requires updating cash forecast files based on estimated inflows and actual outflows and entering this data into the liquidity planning system on a regular basis (i.e. quarterly).
  • Conducting year-to-date cash collection analysis to ensure accurate and timely collections from customers. It also includes performing customer payment analysis to track payment trends and resolve any payment discrepancies and producing monthly treasury reporting pack analysis.
  • Overseeing the asset cycle, including asset registration, depreciation calculation, and retirement. Additionally, it includes maintaining the Capex budget and forecast, ensuring that expenditure remains within the allocated budget.
  • Assisting the local team on external audit requests, ad-hoc tasks and special projects
  • Contributing to the finance process evolution of the department and our IT tools (SAP4HANA & OneStream) in the course of Eutelsat reorganization

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance with 0-3 years’ experience
  • Experience in telecom sector is a plus
  • Strong analytical skills (quantitative, financial)
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Strong skills and experience in Excel and good knowledge of Powerpoint
  • Knowledge of financial IT systems: first usage of SalesForce, SAP or reporting tool would be a plus
  • Fluent English is mandatory (Arabic and / or French would be a plus)
